Jamaica Street News（１月前半）
明けましておめでとうございます。今年もどうぞ宜しくお願いします。 ジャマイカの正月は特に何もなく1日は全部閉まってるけど2日からは通常通り町は動いて平常通り、お祭り気分のクリスマスとはうって変わって、めでたい楽しい正月気分もなにも感じられないジャマイカ。 完成日をはるかに遅れてやっとこさ、もうじきスタートするＨＷＴのバスターミナル、 チチバス（ＪＵＴＣ白バス）もターミナルの練習運転をしていよいよ。見た目は凄い立派、日本みたい素晴らしい！バス乗り場が分かりやすくなっていいけど、その辺で飛び乗り降りが出来なくなるのがちとめんどくさい。でも暴走コースターは大丈夫かな。。。。
パン、ベーカリー関係が20％の値上げ。食品、ガソリン、衣類、新聞、学費、本当最近どれもこれもすごい値上がりしてるジャマイカ。日本より物価高いと思います。

Bounty Killerと Harry Toddlerが喧嘩。 日曜日あるクラブでHarry Toddlerはキラー番町にチェーンをむしり取られ、飲んでたヘネシーをぶっかけられ目をさされ怪我。 元旦のUnity Splashでもキラー、アライアンス軍団がステージに出てる時、タドラーがステージにあがった途端キラーはステージを降りてしまった。 タドラーはなんでキラーがそういう態度をとるの判らないとコメント。 最近ではMungaとDeva Bratt、 Jah CureとSizzlaが喧嘩したりとアーティストの中で揉め事が絶えない。
Aidoniaが発砲事件にかかわったとして逮捕されジェイルに入った。

ＨＷＴのバスターミナルがやっと１２日開通！HWTの大きな雨宿り場所にもなっていいね。ラジオでバスターミナルの宣伝なんかも流れちゃってます。 ニュースではおっちゃんが、立派でいいけえがバスが待っても待ってもじぇんじぇんこねえだよ、仕事に遅れて困るべってぼやいてました。 ジャマイカ人その辺で立ちションなんかしないでこのまま綺麗に保ってもらいたいです。
１３日ポリスの大掛かりな捜査がありティボリガーデン（パサパサの場所）で５人死亡。
無実の市民が殺されたとして市民は怒ってます。パサパサダンスは当分いかない方がいいでしょう。
ダウンタウンも観光客の人にはあまり用が無い所なので買い物はＨＷＴで済むしむやみに行かない様に。

他にもGrenadaでもMavadoの数曲が禁止令と出た。
１月４日Sizzlaが愛車BMWを運転中、ポリスの検問にあい運転席の下のマットに隠してあったガンジャが見つかり逮捕。
$100罰金か７日間ジェイルの刑。
Sean Paul&Busy Signalのニューチューン「Serious」出来た経緯はSean Paulがこのビートを聞いた時ひらめて、Sean Paulが今乗りに乗ってるBusyに即効電話して、話をもちかけその日のうちにスタジオに落ち合いこの歌を作ったそう。
実はSean PaulはBusyのファンだったらしいです。
話は変わるが、久しぶりにこの前生Paul見たけんかなりきてます、おでこ。（キラー番町に続き心配。。。）

最近夜、朝方凄く寒いキングストンです。
☆先日フロリダであった 「2008 Surf Expo」で初めてジャマイカのサーフブランド「Quashi」が出展された。デザインはフロリダのタトゥーアーティストの絵が描くジャマイカらしいデザイン、ラスタマン、チャリス、レコードなどが描かれてある。 www.quashi.com☆bmobileもデジセルに対抗して今度バレンタインデーに向けて、携帯買ったらシルバーのハートのペンダントついたイヤリングをプレゼント！期間は２月１６日まで。彼にプレゼントもらってキャーうれぴい！と思ってみたらこれでしかもこれ持ってる人いっぱいいるじゃんってなるこのプレゼント（ってか景品）複雑。。。。 |

約５年間不仲だったStone LoveとFire Linksが和解。
先日ヒルトンホテルでLena British（Britishu Link-upのプロモーター）が仲介に入り話し合い、和解した。
Wee-Powは「ずっとリンクスとの関係の事は頭が痛くストレスだった。和解できてよかった、これから一緒にやれるのを楽しみにしている。」
リンクスは、「ストーンラブがポリスに手回しして自分のダンスを中断されたりとか（嘘か真か？？）色々あったけど過去は過去、和解できて良かった。おいらも一緒にこれからやるのを楽しみにしてる、これは音楽業界にとってもいい事」だと語った。 |

ジャマイカ代表料理のジャークチキン
。田舎に行くと有名なジャークセンターがちらほらあって昼間でも食えるけんキングストンだと夜にならんと出没しない。
でもConstant Spring RdをずっとあがっててMannings Hill Rdの道沿い、左側にAndy's Jark Centreがある。ここはジャークチキンは勿論、ジャークポーク、ジャークポークソーセージもあってまたこれが最高！これこそ大人のビールのつまみ！
毎週花金ナイトはポートロイヤル漁村のシーフード夜店の日。
最近新メニューで海老もある！袋に海老、シーズニングを入れて蒸し焼き。これがまた最高！これもまたビールのつまみに最高でっせ！
魚の他にも蟹のギャーリック蒸し焼き、コンクバター蒸し焼き、カキ、コンクスープもばかうま、お勧めメニュー。
９時位に行くと人気商品は売り切れになるので早めに行こう！
会員制プライスマートにＹＡＭＡＳＡと書いてあるＭＡＤＥ ＩＮ ＵＳＡの醤油のでかい缶が売ってる。他のスーパーで売ってる瓶の日本の醤油よりかなり安い値段だけど、本当に日本の醤油か？チャイニーズの醤油だったら困るぜ。。。。と不安で、買いたいけん買えない、最近の悩み。
あとここの売店にあるフローズンカプチーノがばかうまい！上にトッピングするシナモンパウダーを店員はいっぱい振り掛けすぎるから少なめに、それか無しで頼むのがお勧め。
アイスクリームも日本で売ってるソフトクリームみたいにゅるにゅるって出てくる奴（巻きぐ〇タイプ）ので懐かしい、美味い！ジャメーカではこのタイプのアイスここだけ。
この前ＨＷＴのブルックリンスーパーにお苺様が売ってました。３つ（しか入ってねえのかよ！！）入ってＪ＄１４０でございます。日本円で約２５０円。恐ろしくて買えないけんもし血迷って崖から飛び降りる気持ちで根性出して買えたとしても一個５０円のお苺様、おっかなくて食べれません。苺がのったショートケーキは夢の世界。。。
